Windows Mobile SportyPal 1.2.4

A new update is now online for Windows Mobile users, fixing several minor issues present in the previous versions.

Here’s a list of changes made in the new version:

  • The home, end and call buttons are now handled properly. The taskbar will now appear when the home or call buttons are pressed. The end button now closes SportyPal, unless you are in the middle of a workout, in which case it just minimizes it. If you can’t find SportyPal in the programs menu (the one on the home screen’s upper right corner), then run SportyPal again (it won’t start another instance, just show the running application).
  • The start menu no longer says “SportyPal” after you close the application. Note that closing SportyPal now takes you to the home screen regardless of what you had running in the background (same effect as pressing the end button).
  • Registration failures now have more detailed error messages.
  • Fixed a potential crash that could occur while saving a workout.
  • The GPS signal loss warning is a bit less sensitive now.

This is an old version and is no longer available for download. You can download the newest CAB here.

    Thanks for the updates. Suggestions:

    1. Make it more touch friendly. Some of the controls are so small it looks designed for WinMo 6.0.
    2. Place a BIG “mark” button on the screen during workouts. When I hit “mark” it records the time and location, then blanks the screen again. This would be helpful when running laps.
    3. Put this thing on Windows Marketplace so I get notified of updates. Adoption would pick up also.
    4. Are you making a Windows Phone 7 version?

  2. this 1.2.4 crashed everytime i upload the workout, either with gprs or internet connection sharing . back to 1.2.3 and it uploaded charmly.
