Motorola Q series

Even though update 1.0.5 enabled Windows Mobile Standard users to run SportyPal, we’re told that some devices still can’t.

Most of the complaints we received were regarding the Motorola Q9c. The Q series phones can’t run SportyPal because they have landscape screens, and we can’t find a way to rotate them (unlike other landscape screen devices).

If you’ve found a way to do this, please let us know, since we don’t have any Motorola Qs to test. We’ll keep a list of what we’ve tried so far and what we think you should try next:

  • SportyPal itself – refuses to rotate and displays a warning that it can’t run in landscape mode.
  • Our own rotator app – crashes.
  • RotateMe 1.0 – crashes.
  • AARotate – probably doesn’t work either.

Not tested yet:

Also, we’d like to see if you can assign a hardware button to rotate the screen.

Please add support for landscape screens in Windows Mobile. 🙂 I use an HP iPaq 910c. Please please please. 🙂

I also am looking for this app for the Motorola Q.

Would it be difficult to redevelop the GUI of the app specifically for the landscape dimensions of the Motorola Q? The Motorola Q is such a nice phone and would be great if this application was available for it. Please let me know if you have an update for it.

Yes, would like to be able to use it on the Samsung jack i637 too.

I found a guy online that says that Rotate Screen 1.1 works for this app. He also said that you need to be sure to run .NET framework 3.5 for Rotate Screen 1.1 to work.

Having sportypal on the my Q9h would be awsome! I have it on my htc magic and would like to have it on the q, too! I love the Q and that software would be a nice addition to it´s library!
